TrueQuran ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

• Bookmarks: Your saved pages and reading positions (daily recitation, Ramadan, memorization/revision)

• User Preferences: App settings including theme preferences (dark mode), font settings, and display options
• Local Backups: Export files you create for settings backup

Important: All Quran content (Arabic text, translations, and tafsir) is embedded within the app and does not require internet connectivity.

1.2 Cloud Sync Data (Optional)

If you choose to enable cloud synchronization, we may collect and store:

• User settings and preferences
• Bookmarks and reading progress
• Account authentication information (if required for sync)

Note: Cloud sync is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time.

1.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we don't collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number) unless required for cloud sync authentication
• Location data
• Device contacts
• Photos or media files
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Advertising identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely to:

• Provide core app functionality (reading, bookmarks, progress tracking)
• Save and restore your preferences across devices (if cloud sync is enabled)
• Maintain your reading history and bookmarks
• Allow you to export and import your settings for backup purposes

3.1 Local Storage

All data stored locally remains on your device and is protected by your device's security features. We do not have access to locally stored data.

3.2 Cloud Storage (If Enabled)

If you enable cloud synchronization:

• Data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption
• Data is stored on secure servers with appropriate access controls
• We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data except:

Our App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is designed to be used without requiring personal information.

8. Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app
• Cloud Data: Retained as long as you use the sync feature. You can request deletion at any time

9. International Data Transfers

If you use cloud synchronization, your data may be transferred to and stored on servers in different countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this privacy policy.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Providing in-app notification for significant changes

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Offline Functionality

The App is designed to work completely offline. All Quran text, translations, and tafsir are embedded in the app. Internet connection is only required for optional cloud synchronization features.
